How to
compose and send a new message
- Click on the Write
icon
at the centre
panel to display the Compose tab.
- The
Compose tab contains of To, Cc and Subject fields.

- Type the recipient’s email address, who
should receive your message at To field. Use a
comma to separate multiple addresses.
- Optionally, click the Address Book icon
in
the toolbar to select the email address from the saved list.
- To send a copy to a recipient, type
the email address in the Cc field.
- To send a blind copy to a recipient, click
on Bcc icon.
- Optionally, click the Address Book icon in the
toolbar to select email addresses from the saved list.
- Type the subject of your message in the
Subject field.
- Click the Options icon
in
the Menu bar.
- From the priority drop-down list, choose the
required priority. The priorities are Normal, Urgent and Low. By default, the
messages are sent with normal priority.

- From the Receipt drop-down
list, you can choose to request for a return receipt once the recipients
received or read your email.

NONE: No receipt is returned.
READ: If you want to be
notified when the recipient has read this message.
DELIVERY: If you want to be
notified when this message has been delivered to the recipient.
READ AND
DELIVERY:
If you want to be notified when your message has been delivered and read by the
recipient.
- Tick at the Rich Text checkbox if you want
to include rich text features in the mail editor. You may choose not to
tick if you do not want to include rich text.

- Click in the message text box and type the
text of the message.
- Click on Send button
to
send the message.
- You must select the message that you want to
reply first. Click on Reply icon
to
reply only to a particular sender.
- However, if the email has more than one
recipient and you want to reply to all the recipients, click on the Reply
All icon
at
the toolbar.
- Reply icon is used when you want to reply
only to the sender of the email. On the other hand, Reply All icon is used
when you want to reply to the sender and other recipients (CC and BCC
recipients).
- A Compose page appears with the name of the
recipient and recipients. The subject of the original message is prefaced
with 'Re:' and the original message appears inline in the New Message
page.

(Optional)
Enter the email addresses of additional people who should receive your message
in To field. Use a comma to separate multiple
addresses.
Optionally,
click the Address Book icon to select email addresses from the saved list.
- To send a copy to recipient, enter the email
address in the Cc field.
- To send a blind copy to a recipient, click
the Bcc icon. To insert the Bcc field to the compose e-mail, click on Bcc
icon
at
Menu Toolbar.
- Type the subject of your message in the
Subject field.
- Click the Options icon in the top toolbar.
The expanded message icons are shown.
- From the priority drop-down list, choose the
required priority. The priorities are Normal, Urgent and Low. By default, the
messages are sent with normal priority.

- From the Receipt drop-down list, choose an
option. The options are None, Read, Delivery, and Read and Delivery.

- Tick at the Rich Text checkbox if you
want to include rich text features in the mail editor.

- Click on the message text box, and type the
text of the message.
- Click on Send button to send the message.
How to
forward a message
- You can forward a message in two ways:
Forward as
Attachment:
The forwarded message gets attached as a separate document.
Forward as
Inline:
The forwarded message gets appended to your email message just beneath the
current Email message.
- On the left side of navigation panel of the
Mail tab, click the name of the email folder that has the message you want
to forward.
- To open a specific message, click the
corresponding mail row.
- Determine whether you want to forward the
message as an attachment or as part of your new outgoing message, and
complete one of the following tasks:
- To forward the message as an
attachment, click the Forward drop down menu. Select the As Attachment
option.

- To forward the message as inline,
click the Forward drop down menu. Select the Inline option.

- Type the email addresses of the
recipients who should receive your message in the To
field. Use a comma to separate multiple addresses.
Optionally,
click the Address Book icon to select email addresses from the saved list.
- To send a copy to recipient, enter the email
address in the Cc field.
- To send a blind copy to recipient, click on
the Bcc icon.
- Click on the message text box, and type the
text of the message.
- Click on Send button.
How to ask
for a return receipt when sending a message
- When you compose your message, click
the Options icon
in
the Menu bar.
- From the Receipt drop down menu,
choose the type of return receipt you'd like to request.

- The drop down menu show the following
options:
NONE: No
receipt is returned.
READ: Receipt is returned
when the message is read.
DELIVERY: Receipt is returned
when the message is delivered.
READ AND
DELIVERY:
Receipt is returned when the message is both read and delivered.
- When your recipients get your
message, they will be asked to verify that they've received it.
- When you receive a message requesting a
return receipt, your incoming message displays a Privacy Protection
notice.
- Click Allow to verify the return receipt.
Sun Convergence will notify the sender that you've read the message.
- Click Ignore to disregard the request.
- After you choose a response, the Privacy
Protection notice disappears.
- Click Options from the main menu in
the lower left corner.
- Under Mail, click Privacy.
- Under Return Receipt, check the check
box Automatically respond to Return Receipt
request for contacts in my address book.
